Water Shortage Hits Parts of Wakiso as NWSC Repairs Main Pipeline
The National Water and Sewerage Corporation says supply will be restored within 48 hours after a burst main disrupted service to over 40,000 connections.
Residents in several Wakiso District suburbs have gone without piped water for two days following a burst on a major distribution main near Kira.
The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) said emergency repair crews were on site and expected to restore full supply within 48 hours.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and have deployed water bowsers to the worst-affected areas in the meantime," NWSC said in a statement.
The affected areas include parts of Kira, Namugongo and Bweyogerere, home to tens of thousands of households and small businesses.
