Radio and TV Personalities Nominated for Uganda Entertainment Awards

Nominations for this year's Uganda Entertainment Awards were released this week, featuring a mix of veteran radio and television personalities alongside a growing number of digital-first content creators.

Organisers say the inclusion of online creators reflects changing viewing habits, with many young Ugandans now consuming entertainment content primarily through social media.

"The lines between traditional broadcast and digital content have basically disappeared. Our nominations needed to reflect that," an awards committee spokesperson said.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Kampala next month.
