Joshua Cheptegei Eyes New Record at Diamond League Finale
The Olympic and world champion says he is in the best shape of his career heading into the season-ending meet in Brussels.
Olympic 10,000m champion Joshua Cheptegei says he is targeting another personal best as he heads into the Diamond League finale in Brussels this weekend.
"Training has gone exactly to plan this season. I believe there's more time to take off," Cheptegei told reporters ahead of the meet.
The Ugandan star has dominated long-distance running for much of the past five years and remains a strong favourite heading into the final Diamond League meeting of the year.
A strong showing would cap what has already been a record-breaking season for Ugandan athletics on the global stage.
