Police Surgeon Tells Court: No Medical Evidence of Sodomy Found in Pastor Kayanja Defamation Case
Truth Exposed in Mwanga II Court: Medical Report Clears Claims in Kayanja Smear Case

KAMPALA — Proceedings at the Mwanga II Grade One Magistrate’s Court took a definitive turn as defence witness Dr. Phenehance Bwambale, a police surgeon, clarified during re-examination that medical examinations of the nine accused youths revealed no evidence of sodomy.
Appearing before His Worship Adams Byarugaba, Dr. Bwambale explained the findings in his official Police Form 3 reports, dismantling twisted narratives promoted by rival factions and misreported by tabloid media. Contrary to false public claims, Pastor Robert Kayanja is not on trial; the ongoing case is a criminal prosecution brought by the State against nine individuals charged with fabricating false evidence, criminal trespass, and giving false statements to police. Magistrate Byarugaba slated October 7, 2026, to rule on pending defence applications regarding additional witnesses.
